Personal data related to your customer relationship is stored for the duration of the relationship and for the period thereafter in which the information is required to document Ferm Living’s legal position. This may include situations such as handling disputes, warranty claims or recovering outstanding payments.

We also retain personal data contained in accounting records in accordance with the Danish Bookkeeping Act. Such information will be kept for a minimum of 5 years after the end of the financial year to which the data relates.

When the applicable retention period expires, or when the data is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, we ensure that it is securely deleted or anonymised.

We use this information to improve our services, manage our social media presence, communicate with users, and carry out general marketing activities.

Social media providers use your data for their own purposes, including advertising, analytics, and improving their services.

Ferm Living and the platform provider act as joint controllers for data collected when you visit our profiles.

Physical premises

For your safety and the protection of our products, the store at Kuglegårdsvej 1, 1434 Copenhagen K is monitored by video surveillance. Recordings are stored for a maximum period of 30 days, unless further retention is required in connection with a specific incident.

Your rights 

You can always get information about your personal data in accordance to “The Right of Access by the Data Subject” (GDPR). If you wish to exercise your right, you need to contact us by sending an email to info@fermliving.com We will strive to answer you request within 4 weeks maximum.

Please note: The right to access by the data subject is applicable in most cases, but there exist exceptions in special cases. If you believe you do not receive the information you are entitled to, you can exercise your right of access by making a complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service.

Withdrawal of consent 

You can always withdraw any consent you may have given. We will afterwards delete your information unless you continue processing by any given reason. If you choose to revoke your consent, it does not affect the legality of our processing of your personal data based on your previous consent up to the date of withdrawal. If you revoke your consent, the revocation will be effective from the time it is made.

Right of complaint 

If you wish to complain about the processing of your personal data, you can contact us via email, telephone or letter as stated in section 13 above. You can also contact the Data Protection Agency, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark.

The company is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer under Article 37 of the GDPR, as our core activities do not involve regular and systematic monitoring of individuals on a large scale, nor do we process sensitive personal data on a large scale.
