We let three children pick out their favourite pieces from our collection – see how they chose to style them in their rooms at home.

Kids Favourites

The kids’ room is a special place. It’s a sanctuary from the outside world – a space where young minds can play, rest and exercise their imagination without any restrictions. As adults who know our children well, we can pick pieces for their room that we think they’ll enjoy – but what do little hands choose when they’re the ones in charge?

We let three children loose in our flagship Boutique in Copenhagen and asked them to pick out their favourite items. We then visited them at their homes to find out how they decided to incorporate the pieces into their own special, sacred space – the kids’ room.

Elvin, 8 years old

Chose the Pear Bean Bag

Why did you choose this particular item?
“I really wanted a bean bag chair in my new room, and I thought it was funny that the bean bag looks like a pear. It has beautiful colors.”

Where in your room are you going to put the Pear Bean Bag?
”Somewhere where you can see it as soon as you walk into the room.”

Why did you decide to choose these items?
“They were pretty. The pillow because I love ladybirds. The apple basket because I love apples and the hippo hook because I love animals.”

Where are you going to put your new items?
“I’m going to use the apple basket for my hair clips, and I’ve put the pillow on my bed. I’m going to hang all my pretty little bags from the hook.”

“I chose the tent for me and my teddies. I love teddies, and I like that the tent has windows.”

Where are you going to put your new tent?
“In my room, right next to my bed. It looks really nice!”
