2021 RESPONSIBILITY REPORT
As an element of holding ourselves responsible for making sustainable choices that will work for a better tomorrow, we are a part of the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, UN Global Compact, and publish a yearly Responsibility Report.

2021 Key Actions

1. 
FSC™ CERTIFIED – THE FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL
Receiving the FSCtm-certification means that the vast majority of ferm LIVING products made from wood and paper now comply with FSCtm's rigorous social and environmental standards. This is an important step on our responsibility journey.

 

2. 
MÅLBAR
We have started to measure the CO2 footprint on our products in partnership with Danish company Målbar. Using their Climate Screening Tool, we are currently collaborating with six of our key suppliers to measure our climate impact - from raw material to the final product arrives at our warehouse. The insights and data we gain from this work, will help us to set targets for improvements going forward.

 

3. 
AMFORI MEMBERSHIP - BSCI BUSINESS SOCIAL COMPLIANCE INITIATIVE
We take social responsibility in our entire supply chain very seriously. As an AMFORI member, we commit to ensuring our key suppliers are BSCI-audited. We onboarded majority of our key suppliers during 2021, and aim for all key suppliers to be audited during 2022.

 

4. 
UN GLOBAL COMPACT
Investing in sustainable and responsible practices is the right moral decision, as well as good for business. As a participant of the UN Global Compact, we commit to investing in sustainable and responsible practices, and will report our annual progress on their platform. Our work with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals will focus on SDGs 8, 12 and 17.

 

5. 
RESPONSIBILITY STRATEGY
In collaboration with Danish company Märk, we have developed our Responsibility Strategy. This sets a clear Responsibility Ambition with nine ambitious 2030 Commitments. Four strategic areas along with a detailed action plan ensure our Responsibility Ambition is now a natural part of the way we work and communicate.
