This Spring/Summer collection is dominated by warm, earthy tones with unexpected pops of colour. We continue to work with shades that range from ebony to ivory, while also adding sea-inspired tones: the burnt, rusty hues inspired by sugar kelp are incorporated in several of our designs, while our Bevel series features a cool, ice glacier blue. The tactility of our items mirror the natural qualities of the colour palette – soft textiles made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton and recycled polyester spun from PET-yarn are mixed with semi-matte ceramics and textural travertine.
At ferm LIVING, we want to create products that help you to build a home that’s authentically and comfortably you. A home that encompasses all the delights and contradictions of living in a modern world. As that world becomes busier and louder, we’ve found ourselves looking increasingly inwards – for calm, focus and our true sense of home. What we’ve found is a renewed connection to the earth, to that which grounds us. Consequently, many of our new designs bring you closer the ground. This is what we call ‘low living’ – shorter heights that invite you to lean back, rest and connect to your surroundings on a new and deeper level.
SHAPES OF NATURE
As with previous seasons, we’ve drawn inspiration from the world around us, and more than ever, we’ve been bringing outdoor references with us inside. Distinctive, irregular shapes that have been formed by hand and abstract lines inspired by aerial views bring a natural feeling to any interior space. Robust forms are merged with soft, natural fittings while we continue to focus on honest materials that are no more, and no less, than what they appear to be.
