Like an ever-evolving, imperfectly perfect piece of art, your home is a space that evolves and emerges along with the seasons of your life. With the passing of time, as your collection of personal curio, everyday items and beloved heirlooms begins to grow, your home develops a soul of its own. Storing an infinite number of memories and emotions that are personal to you, the artist and creator, it is up to you when your home, your personal piece of art, is done; the likely answer being…never.
In many ways, coming home is like putting on a warm, comforting coat: it’s a safe, secure space where you can be the most authentic, true version of yourself, free from the expectations and obligations of the outside world. As you step through the front door and into your sanctuary after a long day, you can begin to remove the layers that you put on before you left – your carefully constructed armour that protects you at your most vulnerable and delicate. Here, you are protected, and with room to prosper and grow – both in solitude and in the company of your loved ones – you can unwind, reflect and process the triumphs and challenges of everyday life.
As your home evolves over time, inviting someone into it is like sharing a vulnerable piece of yourself that is still in progress. Introducing our new SS21 collection to the world feels similarly delicate. With our new collection, we continue to move closer to Mother Earth with soft, organic shapes and neutral, earthy tones that range from black to light sand. Our new collection embraces the intuitive feelings that go into creating an imperfectly perfect home with warm, whimsical touches that reflect the impulsive and artistic. We continue to work with tactile, natural materials like clay, burnt terracotta and FSC™-certified wood, as well as reimagined, sustainable materials like recycled plastic and PET-yarn. With this new collection, we want to capture a moment that underscores the personal, raw and unfinished notion that embodies that comfortable, authentic feeling of belonging – of home.
