With Mother’s Day just around the corner, we are presented with the perfect opportunity to show the unique mother figures in our lives some extra love and appreciation. Whether you are a mother of three, a dog mom or a stepmom, motherhood appears in many different forms, and no two maternal relationships are the same, but all of them hold a very special place in our hearts.
We celebrate this Mother’s Day by asking some of the incredible mothers at the ferm LIVING office what it is about motherhood that is so special.

Mother to Theo 8 months
“The best thing about becoming a mother is getting to watch this little human that you made develop into their very own autonomous person. As they grow, learn and discover the world around them, more and more of their personality is revealed, and each new milestone brings new habits, expressions and eccentricities to the surface. The more I get to know my son, the more I fall in love with him.”

Dog mum to Pedro 2 years
“Being Pedro’s dog mom is the best feeling in the world. I’m obviously not his real mom, but I know that to him, me and my husband are his whole world. So, the maternal feelings are definitely there - and I would do anything to ensure Pedro has the best life possible.”
“As they grow, learn and discover the world around them, more and more of their personality is revealed, and each new milestone brings new habits, expressions and eccentricities to the surface.”

Mother to Noah 14, and Isak 9
“The best thing about being a mother is to watch the world through their eyes and to follow and support them in their growth and development. But being a mother is also very much about personal growth. You learn just as much from your children as they learn from you as a parent.”

Mother to Nola 10, Karla 16, Felix 19, and Bobbi 2 years
“The best thing about being a mother is that you get to experience that there are much more important things in life than yourself. You get to love someone unconditionally, and the love you get in return is like no other. And as my children have grown up, I’ve witnessed how they have developed as human beings through the natural ups and downs of their lives.”
